Golf Course Maintenance Team at RCC

Ridgewood Country Club is seeking hard-working, dedicated individuals interested in joining our golf course maintenance team. If you enjoy golf, the outdoors, landscaping, and/or working as part of a team then employment at RCC may be the right fit for you! 

We are currently hiring multiple groundskeeper positions including part-time, full-time, and seasonal full-time. Hourly pay ranges from $11.00/hr to $15.00/hr based on experience. Additional specialized positions may be available. Employees average 15 to 50 hours per week depending on the position. 3. Fill out our employment application. All prospective employees must submit a completed application prior to interviewing. Available Positions :

• Part-Time : Employees average 10 to 25 hours per week and are required to work most Saturday and Sunday mornings. Typical Shift: 6:00am to 10:00am
• Full-Time : Employees average 40 to 50 hours per week. Must be available for work on most weekends and holidays when needed. Typical Shift: 6:00am to 2:30pm
• Seasonal Full-Time : Employees average 40 to 50 hours per week from April through October. Must be able to work most weekends and holidays. Typical Shift: 6:00am to 2:30pm
• Seasonal Hand Watering : Employees are responsible for hand watering greens from 11:00AM to 5:00PM on most weekday and weekend afternoons. Actual range from 18 to 40 hours per week depending on employee schedule and weather conditions
• Additional Positions: Landscape Superintendent

Basic Requirements:

• Willingness to work outside in a variety of weather conditions
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs from the floor unassisted
• Possession of valid driver license
• Ability to work most weekends and holidays
• While no direct experience is required - applicants with previous golf course maintenance experience, landscaping experience, knowledge of the game of golf, and/or other related skills are preferred
• All applicants must complete background check and agree to abide by RCC's drug and alcohol policy prior to beginning employment

Groundskeepers complete a variety of tasks during the day in order to prepare and maintain the golf course and clubhouse grounds for enjoyment by our members and their guests. In general, work can be classified as landscaping and should be consider manual labor.Daily tasks include but are not limited to:

Preparing the course for daily play

• Mowing (operation of various specialized gas powered mowers)
• String trimming
• Raking of bunkers
• Debris cleanup
• Daily golf course setup (changing hole locations, moving tees, emptying trash, etc)
• Maintaining ornamental beds
• Operation of various gas-powered blowers
• Operation of golf carts and other utility vehicles
• Occasional application of fertilizer and herbicides
• Hand watering
• Various other maintenance practices
